OOH Emergency Vet – Lincolnshire

My Client is excited to be expanding there team and have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon to join there dedicated out-of-hours (OOH) emergency service in Lincolnshire.

This role is ideal for a vet with a passion for Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) who is looking for a supportive, progressive environment where clinical excellence and work-life balance are valued.

The Role:

OOH Emergency Vet (small animal and exotics)

Rota: 1 weekend on, 3 weekends off (1:4) –  We are recruiting for two so the same vet can cover both weekends if preferred so double Salary 

Hours: Saturday 08:00 – Sunday 19:00

Sole charge (with support available)

Varied caseload: stabilisation and critical care of inpatients, surgical and medical procedures, and OOH consultations

Close collaboration with our daytime team at Black Sheep Vets and other member practices across East Lincolnshire

What We Offer:

Salary from £12,000–£13,000 per annum (pro rata) – up to £15,000 for the right candidate

Fully funded CPD, including ECC-specific training

On-site accommodation available if required

Modern, well-equipped facilities:

Idexx haematology, biochemistry, and urinalysis

Coagulation profiler, EPOC analyser

Digital and dental radiography

State-of-the-art ultrasound

ECG, Doppler, multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring, and more

RCVS, VDS, and approved professional memberships paid

Support from a highly skilled, experienced nursing team

About You:
We’re seeking a vet with solid clinical judgement, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a genuine interest in emergency medicine and surgery. Certificate holders in ECC—or those working towards one—are warmly encouraged to apply.
