We're recruiting on behalf of a busy, well-equipped small animal practice looking for a Surgical Bias Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and experienced team. 🏥 About the Practice
- This modern, well-established clinic is equipped with:
- Dedicated surgical theatre
- Digital x-ray suite
- Ultrasound and laparoscopic equipment
- Large prep and consult areas
- In-house lab with full diagnostics
You’ll be supported by a dedicated Practice Manager, Lead Vet, and a long-standing team of nurses and receptionists who value collaboration and care just as much as you do.
🩺 The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position working 39 hours over 4 days, with 1 in 3 half Saturdays or 1 in 6 full Saturdays. No out-of-hours work required. Flexible working arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the surgical caseload
- Carrying out a range of routine and non-routine procedures
- Delivering excellent clinical care and clear, compassionate client communication
- Supporting and mentoring the clinical team
- Collaborating with nursing colleagues to promote Schedule 3 procedures
🎓 Ideal Candidate
- We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon who is:
- RCVS registered
- Confident in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
- Able to take clinical leadership of surgical cases
- Skilled at working within a multidisciplinary team
- Passionate about mentoring and team development
- Committed to delivering gold-standard patient and client care
