We're recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Vet to enhance a well-established practice.
We're based in a lovely listed building in a small picturesque village, situated just south of Lincoln. Our branch offers a personal and friendly service and are proud to offer modern equipment and facilities as well as a range of services including orthopaedics, diagnostics and an in-house laboratory.
The position is responsible for directing the practice and its staff in providing the very best care to clients and pets. You’ll also have an engaged interest in the running of the practice and be an influential figure to the rest of the team to demonstrate their clinical excellence.
The key accountabilities include management of sales performance, budget and overall profitability of the practice on a day-to-day basis. Ensuring all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets/livestock is imperative. As is the assessment and diagnosis of patients; performing surgery, diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing, prescribing medication. Educating clients on positive lifestyle choices for pets/livestock is key, and you should promote preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations and immunisations. Euthanising patients is an unfortunate but essential requirement. You will also ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures, maintain patients’ medical records.
To be considered, candidates must be a qualified MRCVS, registered with the RCVS, have a personal commitment to animal welfare as well as excellent organisational skills.We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
The role is full-time with a weekend work on a fair rota basis with time back in leau.

- Up to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
