Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career? We’re supporting an independently run, well-established small animal practice in Lincolnshire to find an ambitious and compassionate Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing clinical team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys leading by example, is confident in both consultations and surgery, and is passionate about mentoring others and delivering gold-standard care.

🐾 The Practice:

Set in a purpose-built facility with excellent equipment, this is a thriving, forward-thinking clinic with a loyal client base and an experienced nursing team. The practice features:

• Spacious consulting rooms and separate cat/dog wards
• Modern operating theatres
• Digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound
• ECG and full in-house lab
• A supportive culture of clinical growth and development
• Active involvement in training graduate vets and student nurses

The clinic sees a wide range of first opinion cases and is steadily growing to become a key veterinary hub in the region.

✅ The Role:

• Full-time, permanent position (40 hours across 4 days)
• 1 in 4 weekends
• Part-time or flexible arrangements considered

As Lead Vet, you'll combine your clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, working closely with the Practice Manager and nursing team to ensure the smooth, efficient running of the practice and the delivery of exceptional care.

• Lead by example in delivering exceptional veterinary care
• Support and mentor clinical team members
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of clinical standards and processes
• Work collaboratively to optimise patient care and client experience
• Manage complex medical and surgical cases confidently
• Help drive the clinic’s performance and community reputation
• Share clinical knowledge and encourage professional growth within the team

💡 What We're Looking For:

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Confident in clinical leadership, team mentorship, and decision-making
• Strong communication skills with both colleagues and clients
• A positive, proactive attitude towards continuous improvement
• Experience working in a busy, small animal practice
• Someone who values patient and client care equally

• Salary up to £75,000, depending on experience
