Are you looking for a role that facilitates work-life balance but still allows you to develop your skills within an experienced team?
What can Fenwold offer you?
• A salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience.
• 15-minute consultations
• Excellent work life balance with a 4-day week with no weekends or out of hours. You’ll finish at 5pm everyday!
• Relocation support of up to £5000, as well as a welcome bonus of £5000 (pro rata).
• Full flexibility with hours, duties and where you’ll be based.
• A varied caseload with access to an excellent range of modern equipment.
We have an 8.30am - 5pm rota with no weekend, bank holiday or OOH work, meaning you will get the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful countryside and seaside in our area. Whether you would be more at home in the Lincolnshire Wolds, enjoying an area of outstanding natural beauty, or sampling the delights of the Pleasure beach at Skegness, there’s plenty to do! Locally the housing is affordable and the schools are wonderful, making this an excellent place to settle.
Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours truly tips the scale on your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you.
A usual day at Fenwold vets would see you consulting or operating between 9am - 1pm, the Vet team swap over at 11 am so you have the chance to operate every day. You will then have some time to catch up on notes and have a well-earned lunch break before afternoon consulting starts again at 2:30pm until 5pm.
About Us
We are a 3 site group with practices in Skegness, Spilsby and Mablethorpe. You can choose which site you’d like to be based at as well. All the Clinical Directors are certificate holders so there is good support in both medicine and surgery, with one being an Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Dermatology taking referrals. We recognise that further development is valuable and rewarding and are supportive of colleagues who wish to do the same. Our experience also allows you to have clinical guidance alongside any further studies. We routinely carry out orthopaedic work in the clinic (including TPLOs and fracture repairs) and so would be an ideal workplace for someone wishing to build their practical skills in this area following further study.
We really value a GP vet, supporting you with your development whether that is with training, certificates or appropriate resourcing with equipment. We see a varied and exciting caseload, and actively encourage case continuity. As well as the usual Digital Radiography, fully equipped operating theatres and ultrasound at all 3 branches, we also have endoscopes, full plating and pinning equipment for orthopaedics and an in house lab at Spilsby and Skegness.
Each of the sites has its own character, representative of the different communities they serve, there really is something for everyone at Fenwold! We have a friendly, dedicated and welcoming team who are keen to all support each other. We are proud of this and have a strong "all for one / one for all" mantra. Being part of a larger group means we can potentially offer placement on our fantastic new graduate academy, relocation packages, a welcome bonus or even refresher courses.
Applicant Requirements
Experience isn't as important as attitude to us. We are looking for someone with a strong team ethic, excellent communication skills, the ability to adapt and 'think on your feet with a desire to join a friendly and supportive Practice in a genuinely lovely part of the world.
