Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a balance between work and personal life while still engaging in fulfilling veterinary practice within a supportive and progressive team environment? Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, empathetic, and experienced Veterinary Surgeon for a term-time/school hours role. This role offers flexibility, with working patterns designed to suit various schedules, including those who need time off during school holidays. The successful candidate will be confident in first-opinion duties, comfortable with sole charge when needed, and will work across two branches, with a majority of time spent in Bourne. Both branches are well-equipped with digital radiography (newly upgraded DR system), ultrasound, endoscopy, and in-house blood testing, spacious theatres and consultation rooms.
You will be working alongside three experienced Veterinary Surgeons, four RVNs, three Nursing Assistants, and a full reception team who all work together closely to provide high-quality care and support for both patients and clients. The practice prides itself on a loyal, longstanding client base and prioritizes providing the best possible care, including discussing all treatment options and collaborating with referral practices when necessary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Conduct consultations, performing surgeries, and delivering care for a loyal client base.
- Competent in routine surgeries, diagnostics, and medical cases.
- Ability to work independently on occasion, managing both consultations and surgeries.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure clients are well-informed about treatment options and care plans for their pets.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time role working 40 hours a week over 4 days with 1:5 Saturday mornings 8.30am – midday. However, our client is also happy to consider a part-time role and/or Rota that accommodates school hours and term-time only, making it ideal for working parents, so please do let us know your preferences.
