Modern, purpose-built clinic. Supportive team culture. Space to grow your surgical and medical interests.
If You’re Ready for a Role Where You Can Slow Down, Focus, and Do Your Best Work
If you are tired of rushing, of feeling like you never quite get to practice the standard of care you believe in, this could be the reset you have been looking for. A place where your clinical voice matters, your wellbeing is protected, and your growth is taken seriously.
The Opportunity
We are working with a beautifully designed small animal clinic in St Johns Wood, that has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, relationship-based care. This is not a practice that wants a body in the rota. They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys collaborating, thinking cases through, and supporting clients who genuinely value their pets’ wellbeing.
You will be joining a team that sees clinical excellence and kindness as inseparable. They have grown steadily because they invest in their people, not just their equipment. They want someone who finds joy in problem-solving, who communicates clearly and calmly with clients, and who enjoys working closely with nurses who are confident, skilled, and eager to support you.
If you are someone who loves working cases up properly, who enjoys surgery, and who thrives in an environment where the standard is high but the pressure is not, you will feel right at home here.
Why This Role Is Different
A Clinic Designed for Quality Medicine
This is a purpose-built, fully equipped space with technology that supports accurate diagnosis and efficient workflow. Everything from imaging to lab equipment has been chosen to make your clinical life smoother.
A Team That Works Together, Not in Silos
You will be joining a group of experienced vets and nurses who genuinely enjoy learning from one another. Collaboration is the default here. Input is encouraged. Case discussions happen naturally because people trust one another.
A Supportive, Calm Client Base
The practice has grown through word-of-mouth. Clients stay because they feel heard and informed. That means fewer battles, more partnership, and consultations that feel meaningful rather than transactional.
A Culture of Continuous Growth
Whether you want to deepen your surgical skills or develop a medical interest, there is active support and funding for CPD, including certificates. You will never be discouraged from learning more or pushing yourself.
Your Journey Here
In Your First Month:
You will settle in, build trust with the team, familiarise yourself with the workflow, and get comfortable with the clinical equipment. You will have time to find your rhythm without pressure.
By Three Months:
You will be confidently managing a varied caseload, handling both routine and more complex cases, and taking ownership of your surgical days. You will start shaping how you want your clinical interests to grow.
By Six Months:
You will be a key member of the veterinary team, contributing ideas, elevating clinical standards, and potentially beginning a funded certificate or additional training aligned with your goals.
