Global Veterinary Careers are pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-respected, independent small animal practice located within easy reach of Manchester.
This role offers a flexible schedule, varied caseload, and a supportive, progressive team environment—ideal for both developing and experienced vets.
Location: Manchester (commutable from Wigan, Bolton, and surrounding areas)
Hours: Full-time over 4 days — part-time options available
Weekends: 1-in-7 rota with time off in lieu
OOH: No out-of-hours duties
About the Role:
Wide range of surgical and medical cases
No night or emergency on-call (OOH outsourced)
Mix of consulting and theatre time at well-equipped branches
One-to-one support available where needed
Cloud-based Animana system integrated with IDEXX
Facilities & Equipment:
Digital X-ray
Ultrasound
Electrosurgery
Tonometry
Ultrasonic dental equipment
Modern surgical and consult rooms
Team Culture:
Supportive, experienced clinical team with clear structure
Nurse Managers/Head Nurses at each site
Regular CPD sessions and tailored development plans
Friendly and professional team atmosphere

Ideal Candidate:
RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
Confident with general surgery, dentistry & consultations
Enthusiastic, personable, and professional
Suitable for vets with some experience or those ready to grow in a supportive environment
