My client is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and highly skilled team in Merseyside. The position would suit someone comfortable with consulting, neutering, and performing small surgical procedures, as well as occasional sole-charge responsibilities, as part of your time will be spent working within branch practices. A fully branch-only role with hospital support can also be considered for the right candidate.
Working Pattern
• Full-time (part-time considered for the right applicant)
• 4-day working week
• Weekend rota: 1 in 8 Saturday and Sunday or 2 Saturdays and 1 Sunday in 8 weeks
• Some contribution to the OOH rota for holiday or sickness cover
You’ll be joining an exceptional clinical team including certificate holders in medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging, with others currently working towards their qualifications. Support for your own progression and career development is strongly encouraged.
My client operates a tier 3 hospital and training practice equipped with:
• Digital X-ray
• Ultrasound
• A range of endoscopy equipment
• Dental radiography
• CO₂ laser
• Laparoscopic equipment
• 64-slice CT scanner
• 1.5T MRI scanner
The hospital is ideally located with easy access to Liverpool, Manchester, and major transport links, as well as the beautiful countryside of North Wales and the Lake District.
There is also close collaboration with an in-house referral service, allowing for excellent case continuity and clinical development.
Salary & Benefits (Pro Rata)
• Salary: £38,000 – £60,000 (DOE)
