A well-established tier 3 small animal hospital in Merseyside is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its supportive, certificate-focused team. The hospital is exceptionally well equipped, including CT, MRI, laparoscopy, CO₂ laser, digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy, allowing cases to be worked up to a high standard in-house.
The role involves small animal consulting, routine surgery and some sole-charge branch work (with hospital backup available if preferred). A 4-day week, flexible weekend rota and limited OOH (holiday and sickness cover only) support a strong work–life balance.
Package includes: salary £38,000–£60,000 DOE, 6.6 weeks’ holiday, £1,750 CPD + one week, paid memberships, staff pet discounts, enhanced family leave and optional private medical insurance.
