Our client has an opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their Veterinary Practice, primarily based at the Dowlais site, with some work at another local location. Both sites are in the scenic South Wales valleys, close to Cardiff and near the beautiful Brecon Beacons. This role is ideal for a vet who enjoys taking charge of cases and delivering high-quality care to clients, with opportunities to specialize in medical, surgical, or orthopaedic interests.
You will be working alongside a team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 RVN’s, 1 SVN, 1 ANA and 6 additional support staff. This practice fosters a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and camaraderie, ensuring a positive work environment.
You will have the opportunity to manage your own cases, with support for further specialization in areas like surgery and orthopaedics and the practice is committed to helping you develop your skills and achieve your career goals through training and mentorship.
The Practice facilities include a dedicated in-house laboratory, dental suite, 2 surgical theatres, separate kennels for dogs and cats, large prep area and isolation ward, advanced ultrasound machine with cardiac probe, digital radiography, digital X-rays, dental suite, separate kennels for dogs and cats and ultrasound machine.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time role working 40 hours a week over 4 days with No OOH and No Bank Holidays. However, our client will consider a part-time role for the right candidate so please do let us know your preferences. This role is suitable and flexible for someone who may require school time hours or a Term Time only role.
