Are you an established Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) seeking a new challenge, or an experienced RVN ready to step up and lead?

The Role: Clinical Leadership & Development
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) Head Nurse role focused on team support, clinical delivery, and practice growth.
- Clinical Focus: Get hands-on with Schedule 3 procedures (including dental scale and polish), run specialist nurse clinics (obesity, diabetic, behavioural), and perform routine tasks (second vaccinations, post-op checks).
- Mentorship: Play a key role in developing the wider nursing team and providing Clinical Coaching for Student Vets Nurses (SVNs). Support provided for those wanting to train as a Coach!
- Supportive Team: Work closely with the experienced Head Vet (currently undertaking a Dermatology Certificate) and a long-standing Practice Manager to foster a positive, supportive environment.
- Facilities: Purpose-built surgery equipped with a full in-house lab, digital X-ray, ultrasound facilities, and species-specific kennel areas.
The Team & Environment
The practice has grown significantly and currently includes 3.5 Vets, 1 RVN, 2 SVNs, 1 VCA, and a Practice Manager, supported by visiting peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons and an ultrasonographer.
