Our client’s well-established practice located in the heart of North Yorkshire is looking for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team of experienced large and small animal vets committed to providing exceptional veterinary care for a wide range of animals, including small pets, horses, farm animals, and exotics. The practice has a long-standing reputation for excellence, serving the community with compassion and diligence for over a century.
Situated in a picturesque market town, this location offers plenty of outdoor activities and stunning scenery. With excellent rail links to York and Newcastle this practice is both beautifully rural and conveniently accessible.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Provide exceptional clinical care during consultations, surgeries, and on-farm visits.
- Care for a variety of animals including large animals (dairy, beef, sheep), small animals, and some equine work.
- Create tailored, accurate treatment and care plans with transparent cost estimates for clients.
- Mentor and develop the skills of your team.
- Ensure seamless clinical handovers and facilitate the transfer of patients needing out-of-hours or advanced care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 4 days a week 8am – 6pm with 1:4 weeknights on call (Friday 5pm – Monday 8am). However, our client can be flexible and will consider a part-time role for the right candidate so please do let us know your preferences.
This role offers a salary up to £50,000 DOE and a range of benefits including
