An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join an inclusive, fast-paced small animal practice in Northamptonshire.
Entering a dynamic new chapter, the practice is preparing for an upcoming relaunch and rebrand, with future plans to extend. The surgery boasts a supportive, family-like atmosphere with a loyal, long-standing team. The existing clinical and support team includes 2 Vets, 4 qualified RVNs, an SVN due to qualify, a VCA, and 4 Receptionists.
📋 Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality veterinary care to a varied client base, including consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and routine surgeries.
- Collaborating with the team to maintain high clinical standards and a positive culture.
- Mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
- Opportunities to help shape team development, clinical protocols, and care standards alongside practice leadership.
📅 Rota & Hours:
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Weekend Rota: 1 in 3 Saturdays (09:00 – 18:00).
- Out-of-Hours: No OOH and no Sunday working.
💰 Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum (depending on experience).
- Holiday: 5.6 weeks annual leave, plus a paid day off on your birthday.

👤 Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally 2–3+ years' post-qualification experience with full confidence handling consultations, diagnostics, and routine surgery independently (not suitable for new graduates due to the required level of autonomy).
- Passionate about clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team player.
