An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established small animal practice in the Northamptonshire area. This role is ideal for a confident vet who enjoys a high level of clinical autonomy, is comfortable with occasional sole charge, and is looking to develop their own clinical interests within a supportive environment.
With a loyal client base and a well-equipped practice, you'll have the opportunity to build long-term client relationships, grow your own caseload, and pursue your interests in medicine or surgery while being supported by an experienced team.
The Practice
- Well-established small animal practice with a loyal client base
- Modern facilities including advanced diagnostic equipment and in-house laboratory
- Friendly and supportive clinical team
- Strong focus on clinical freedom and case continuity
- Excellent support for professional development and certificate study
The Role
- Full-time position working 40 hours across 4 days (part-time considered)
- 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 full weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital
- No out-of-hours
- Opportunity to develop your own caseload and clinical interests
- Deliver high standards of medical and surgical care
- Build lasting client relationships and create tailored treatment plans
- Work collaboratively within a supportive veterinary team
- Share knowledge and mentor colleagues where appropriate
About You
- MRCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Confident clinician with experience in first opinion practice
- Comfortable with occasional sole charge
- Passionate about providing exceptional patient and client care
- Keen to continue developing professionally and contribute to a positive team culture
