Global Veterinary Careers is delighted to be working with a well-established, RCVS-accredited equine hospital in the Northeast of England, as they look to welcome an experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet seeking the next step in their equine career to bring their skills, experience, and ideas to a thriving and forward-thinking practice.

About the location and practice: 🌳

Located in stunning countryside with easy access to both coast and city life, this practice offers the best of both worlds. The area is ideal for nature lovers, with access to beautiful scenery, national parks, and a range of outdoor activities.

The hospital itself is a well-equipped and highly respected equine facility, offering both ambulatory and clinic-based services, with a growing referral caseload. The emphasis is on high-quality diagnostics and patient care, supported by modern facilities including advanced imaging and surgical capabilities.

About the role and team: 👩‍⚕️🐴

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and skilled Equine Vet to join a supportive and collaborative team. The role focuses on sport horse medicine, imaging, and general equine practice, with opportunities to develop clinical interests further.

Applicants with surgical experience or a passion for developing equine surgical services are especially encouraged to apply. There is also scope for the right individual to take on additional leadership or Clinical Director responsibilities in the future.

You’ll be joining a knowledgeable and experienced team of veterinary professionals who take pride in providing exceptional care and maintaining strong client relationships.

About you ✅

The ideal candidate will:

Full-time hours are typically Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with participation in a 1:6 out-of-hours rota.
