Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for surgery and mentoring?
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, close-knit clinical team in a progressive small animal practice located in the thriving Midlands region.
The Practice & Team
This practice is led by a supportive and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) owner, who brings decades of clinical experience and leadership to the team. You will be joining a highly collaborative and established clinical group:
- Team: 3.5 Vets, 3 Nurses, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants, and 4 Receptionists.
- Facilities: A bright, air-conditioned, purpose-built surgery constructed to industry-leading standards.
- Equipment: State-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical tools, including Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, ECG, ultrasonic dental, biochemistry analyser, microscope, and full surgical facilities.
- Location: Situated in the heart of a vibrant local community with excellent transport links, offering quick access to major road networks and a large nearby city centre.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong surgical bias to enhance the clinical capabilities of the team.
- Clinical Focus: You must be confident in a wide range of surgical procedures. Experience in emergency and critical care is highly desirable.
- Mentorship: You will play an important role in supporting and mentoring junior vets within the practice, helping to build a strong, collaborative clinical environment.
- Schedule: Full-time, working 40 hours per week. This includes a supportive 1 in 4 rota for Saturday mornings (9am – 12pm).
We actively encourage strong case development and fully support ongoing professional growth.

- Salary: Attractive remuneration package of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum (Dependent on experience).
