Competitive salary - dependent on experience

Are you an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for emergency and critical care?

E-Vets is a dedicated out-of-hours small animal emergency service based in Galashiels, providing overnight, weekend and bank holiday care for VetPartners practices across the Scottish Borders, as well as a local independent practice.

We're looking for a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit team, delivering high-quality ECC care while enjoying a rota that offers an excellent work-life balance.

The Role

Part-time opportunity consisting of night shifts and weekend work only, with approximately 80 hours per month available.

This role may be especially suited to a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a fresh challenge, a move into dedicated ECC practice, or a position that offers the flexibility often difficult to find in traditional first-opinion practice.

Working alongside an experienced RVN, you will be responsible for providing emergency and critical care to patients.

Key responsibilities include:

Why Choose E-Vets?

Based within Galedin Veterinary Clinic in Galashiels, E-Vets operates from a modern, purpose-built facility equipped to support a varied and rewarding emergency caseload.

Our facilities include:

You'll have access to the equipment and support needed to provide the very best care to your patients.

A Team You'll Love Working With

We are a small, friendly and highly experienced team of dedicated night vets and RVNs who genuinely enjoy working together.

Although this is a sole-charge role, you'll always have the support of an experienced team behind you when needed. We actively encourage professional development and are supportive of vets wishing to pursue advanced qualifications and further ECC training.

About You

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who:

Given the ECC nature of the role and sole-charge responsibilities, previous clinical experience is essential.

Life in the Scottish Borders

Galashiels offers a fantastic quality of life, with beautiful countryside, outdoor pursuits and easy access to both Edinburgh and the wider Borders region. This role is ideal for someone looking to enjoy a different pace of life while continuing to work in a rewarding and clinically stimulating environment.

Benefits

As part of the VetPartners family, you'll enjoy a fantastic range of benefits including (pro rata):

Join an Employer of the Year! VetPartners has been recognised for outstanding team culture and support.
