Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Anaesthetist who is keen on actively participating in the entire process of anaesthesia. The successful candidate will provide anaesthesia support and advice across a diverse small animal referral caseload, with a key role in patient assessment, anaesthesia planning, advanced monitoring, and perioperative care. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists, the Veterinary Anaesthetist will contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and advancing clinical standards within our hospital.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide anaesthesia services for a diverse range of small animal referral cases, including complex surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Perform comprehensive pre-anaesthetic assessments and develop tailored anaesthetic plans
- Develop and implement effective perioperative pain management plans
- Ability to perform regional blocks and epidurals efficiently and effectively
- Collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines to optimise patient care
- Provide guidance and support on anaesthesia and pain management
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute specialist input to complex patient management
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive anaesthetic and medical records
Requirements
- Board-certified Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia
- Eligible for a Singapore veterinary licence with Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), NParks
- Extensive experience in small animal anaesthesia within a referral or specialist hospital environment
- Experience managing high-risk and complex surgical cases
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills – a team player!
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
Other Information
- Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
- Working Hours: 9 Days per Fortnight, 9am to 6pm
- A one-time relocation allowance and visa application support will be provided
