An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well established, independent practice in Taunton, Somerset. The practice is well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound with Doppler, and in-house laboratory. You will join an experienced, close-knit team who are happy to provide support. The practice is an RCVS-approved nurse training practice with Head Nurse, 2 RVNS, 2 qualified nurses and 1 SVN. Your day will include a mixture of consults and operating, and areas of interest are supported. The ideal applicant will have some post graduate experience. This is a permanent role with a rota that is open to discussion, the practice happy to accommodate a 4 day week, 4.5 day week or part time hours. Weekends are on a 1 in 4 rota that includes Saturday morning consults until 1pm, you are then on call until 7pm and on Sunday on call 8am – 7pm. There is an external OOH provider from 7pm – 8am. Back up is available for less experienced vets. On offer is a competitive salary, dependent on experience with generous benefits and accommodation, if required.
