ding small animal hospital in South Yorkshire is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its experienced, multi‑disciplinary clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a well‑established hospital environment offering advanced facilities, a varied caseload and genuine flexibility around working patterns.
The Practice This RCVS‑recognised Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic has been serving the local community since 2002 and has grown into a centre of excellence. The hospital provides 24/7 onsite care and manages both first‑opinion and referral cases under one roof.
You’ll be joining a large, supportive team consisting of:
- 15 Veterinary Surgeons (including a dedicated OOH team)
- 24 Registered Veterinary Nurses
- 3 Student Veterinary Nurses
- 5 Animal Care Assistants
- A strong non‑clinical support team
The hospital is equipped with advanced medical technology, including:
- CT scanner
- Rigid and flexible endoscopy
- Ultrasound
- Facilities for neurosurgery, orthopaedics and minimally invasive surgery
- Stem cell therapy
- Chemotherapy
- Full first‑opinion services
The Role The hospital welcomes applications from vets at all stages of their career, from recent graduates (6 months+ post grad experience), to experienced clinicians. You will be supported by a highly skilled team and encouraged to develop your clinical interests, including pursuing certificates.

Working Pattern The rota can be tailored to suit you, with full‑time, part‑time and flexible options available.
Weekend commitment is required for all vets:
- Full‑time: 1 in 2 weekends
- Part‑time: 1 in 4 weekends
There is no set pattern for weekdays — the hospital is open to discussion.
