Veterinary Surgeon – Hospital-Based Role
A rare opportunity to join a hospital-based first opinion team, where you’re surrounded by advanced kit, supported by specialists, and actually get to work cases up properly.
This South Yorkshire hospital has been around for 20+ years and is fully kitted out with tech like CT, endoscopy (both rigid and flexible), ortho, neuro, stem cell therapy, and even chemo. But unlike many big setups, it’s still got that approachable, team-focused feel, and there’s no awkward overlap between referral and first opinion. Everyone works alongside each other, and it flows.
They’ve got a large clinical team with 14 vets, 24 RVNs, and a strong out-of-hours service in-house, so the rota is smooth, the support is real, and you're never flying solo when you don’t want to be.
They’re looking for a vet (2+ years qualified) who enjoys first-opinion medicine but wants to do more than just scrape by, you’ll have the caseload to push yourself clinically and the mentorship to level up if you want to pursue a certificate down the line.
