Staffordshire, United Kingdom

My client runs a busy, family-owned, community-focused practice with a reputation for high-quality care and a supportive culture. The clinical team includes experienced vets, skilled nurses, and dedicated reception staff. The practice is undergoing a large-scale refurbishment and rebrand, with modern facilities and all the high-end equipment you’d expect in a state-of-the-art environment.

They are looking for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their thriving practice at a pivotal and exciting time. With a major refurbishment and rebrand on the horizon, this role offers genuine autonomy and the chance to help shape the future of the practice.

The role is full time working 4 days per week with a 1 in 3 Saturday rota.

This position is ideal for an experienced Vet who enjoys leading a clinical team while keeping their main focus on clinical excellence. You’ll have the full support of an experienced Practice Manager and hands-on Owners who handle much of the non-clinical management, allowing you to concentrate on delivering outstanding care.

The Role includes:

**Leading and supporting a strong and stable clinical team, including mentoring and developing junior vets

**Taking on more complex cases while sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues

**Collaborating with the Owners and Practice Manager to drive clinical standards and practice performance

**Help shape the future direction of the practice, with potential partnership available for the right candidate

What’s on Offer:

**Competitive salary up to £80,000 (FTE, DOE) with twice-yearly reviews

**Welcome bonus of up to £5,000 for direct candidates (T&Cs apply)

**No OOH or Sundays; 4-day week plus 1 in 3 Saturdays

**Excellent support from an experienced and long-standing team, with some staff having been with the practice for 20+ years

**Ongoing investment in your clinical development, with funding for advanced qualifications or veterinary management training

**Professional fees fully funded

**Genuine partnership potential for those seeking ownership in the future
