An established small animal veterinary practice in Staffordshire is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive clinical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care, supporting colleagues, and helping to shape the clinical direction of a well-equipped practice.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role within the practice, combining clinical excellence with team development and mentoring responsibilities.

Facilities and Equipment

The practice is equipped with modern diagnostic and treatment facilities, including:

• Digital radiography
• Dental radiography
• In-house laboratory analysers
• Ultrasound services

The wider clinical network provides access to advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment, including:

• The team is also actively working towards recognised feline-friendly practice accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Veterinary Surgeon will:

• Deliver exceptional clinical care through consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
• Maintain high standards of patient care, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance
• Develop and communicate tailored treatment plans for clients
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to veterinary and nursing colleagues
• Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical standards and best practices
