About the Role
This charity hospital in Wolverhampton is looking for qualified veterinary surgeons who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. Most of the patients are sick or injured, though preventive health services are also provided. The role requires confidence in communicating with a diverse range of colleagues and clients, along with a willingness to share knowledge and lead by example.

The hospital is seeking individuals with a passion for the charity's mission, who will champion its cause, promote client contributions, and suggest efficiencies to improve resources. Given the dynamic and challenging nature of the work, the hospital offers flexible working options to ensure a healthy work-life balance while delivering outstanding service.

About the Hospital

The hospital is modern and well-equipped, featuring separate dog and cat kennelling, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and extensive orthopaedic equipment.

The size of the teams allows for a flexible approach to weekend rotas, which are shared by the vets on a rota basis. Weekend work comes with enhanced pay and stand-down time during the week following a weekend shift. There is no on-call requirement, as out-of-hours (OOH) coverage is provided by an external OOH service starting at 7:00pm (6:00pm on weekends).
