Do you LOVE surgery? We're looking for a vet who wants to do it all day, every day. ✂️
Steph at GVC is assisting a highly established veterinary clinic in South London with the recruitment of an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is genuinely passionate about surgery.
This is not a GP role with a bit of surgery on the side. The clinic already has enough front-of-house and GP vets, they're looking for someone whose passion is surgery, surgery and more surgery!
✂️ A Role Built Around YOU
If you want to spend your working week in theatre, they can create a strictly surgical role around you.
You'll work 3 days at the branch and 1 day at the hospital, giving you access to an excellent variety of cases and facilities.
You'll become the surgical vet for the area, with surrounding first-opinion clinics feeding surgical cases into your clinic. You'll have full autonomy over your surgical caseload and the opportunity to build your reputation as the go-to surgical clinician locally.
The clinics are extremely well equipped, with the equipment and facilities you need to do your job properly, including the ability to perform advanced procedures such as TPLOs.

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who lives and breathes surgery.
You should have strong surgical experience and be confident working autonomously. Most importantly, you should be someone who would happily spend the whole day in theatre rather than the consult room!
The clinic already has a strong GP/front-of-house team, so they're specifically looking for someone to take ownership of the surgical side of the caseload.
If your ideal day involves interesting cases, a busy theatre and getting stuck into surgery from start to finish, this could be exactly what you're looking for.
