GVC is delighted to be supporting the recruitment of a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon for a well-established practice in Ashtead, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative team that has recently become part of an expanding partnership with a leading 24-hour veterinary hospital, offering excellent clinical support, career development and case collaboration.
Located in the desirable Surrey village of Ashtead, you'll enjoy working in a welcoming community with excellent transport links to London, beautiful green spaces including Ashtead Common, and easy access to both the Surrey Hills and the South East countryside.
The Role
This position would suit an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys first opinion practice and values working within a genuinely supportive team. You'll have the opportunity to build strong client relationships while benefiting from experienced colleagues and access to wider hospital resources whenever needed.
You'll be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality first opinion veterinary care.
- Building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
- Working collaboratively with an experienced nursing and support team.
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice.
- Providing excellent clinical and customer service standards.
About the Practice
The practice is well-equipped and continues to invest in both its facilities and team. Current facilities include:
- Digital dental X-ray equipment.
- Experienced nursing team including Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants.
- Dedicated Client Care support.
- Recently integrated into a larger hospital partnership, providing excellent clinical backup and referral support.
- Planned refurbishment scheduled for 2026, further enhancing the working environment.
What We're Looking For
- MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Team player with a positive and collaborative approach.
- Comfortable working in a busy first opinion environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
