The Role
Do you want to be part of a friendly, dynamic team with a surgery cert holder, visiting cardiologist and orthopaedic surgeon to learn from?
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. We offer a good mix of consults and theatre time but are happy to flex to suit the right candidate this role could suit a consult only vet or someone pursuing a certificate.
During the week, we are open 08:00 - 19:00. We are looking for a candidate to do 20-30 hours per week, preferably with 1:4 Saturdays (alternating am only and all day). We are genuinely flexible about how the hours are split it can be 2-3 long days or 4-5 shorter days. There is no OOH or bank holiday work.
Salary
The salary for this role is up to £65,000 (FTE) depending on experience.
About Us
Kingswood Vets is a well-established local practice in Woking. We moved to a new purpose-built hospital premises in 2018. We have 4 consult rooms, 2 theatres, dental and imaging rooms, separate dog, and cat wards We have a really good mix of well-insured clients wanting gold standard plus RSPCA and other charity work. We have all the usual toys and more including tonopen, slit lamp, surgical diathermy, digital dental x-ray. Plenty of time to work up cases with support available if needed.

We have great transport links though being around 30 minutes from London Centre on the train
About the Team and Culture
We are a team of 10 Veterinary Surgeons (6.5FTE), 10 Nurses (8.5 FTE, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 3 Student Veterinary Nurses) with an amazing support team of 12 who do all the hard work to keep the practice running smoothly. We have a surgery certificate holder, dental vet, imager, and a vet part way through an ophthalmology certificate plus a visiting cardiologist and orthopaedic surgeon to learn from. The rota is organised to allow dedicated time for admin to we can ensure we have the time needed to work up cases and provide the excellent care our clients deserve.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, who is passionate about the provision of high-quality service to patients and clients. Candidates will need to be competent in routine consultations with any specialist interests being welcomed and supported.
