A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a mixed animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well established, independent RCVS accredited practice in the North East. This is a permanent role where you will work alongside a knowledgeable team treating a caseload of 80% small animal, 15% equine and 5% farm. Full time hours working 1 night per week on call (half day off in lieu), 1 in 3 Saturday mornings and 1 full weekends in 6 on call (with Friday of Monday off). Nurses triage OOH calls and there is always a 2nd on call vet available for back up. The role is ideally suited to a vet who is 2+ years qualified, confident with routine surgery and consults, happy working some sole charge and genuinely enjoys mixed practice. Competitive salary, dependent on experience with generous CPD, RCVS and VDS membership, car, fuel card and accommodation options available as week as Skilled Worker VISA sponsorship.
