GVC are assisting a well-established small animal practice in Studley with the recruitment of a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly, experienced and long-serving team.

🐾 About the Practice
You'll be joining a welcoming team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists who pride themselves on working collaboratively to provide outstanding care for their patients and clients.
Recently transformed, the practice now boasts a newly developed site with excellent facilities and modern equipment, including:
- State-of-the-art facilities to support a varied first-opinion caseload.
- Laparoscopy equipment.
- A dedicated dental suite.
- Visiting specialist support for its dentistry referral service.
- An experienced clinical team with a range of postgraduate qualifications and certificates.
🩺 The Role
You'll enjoy a varied small animal caseload, managing medical and surgical cases while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
The role offers scope to work with clinical autonomy, contribute to high standards of patient care and collaborate with colleagues who are always happy to share knowledge and support one another.
Working pattern:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week.
- Part-time hours are very welcome, with flexibility to discuss a pattern that suits you.
- 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.
- Permanent position.
- Salary up to £70,000 FTE, depending on experience.
We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with around 2–3 years' experience or more who is confident managing a varied caseload and keen to continue developing clinically.
You'll ideally bring:
- Strong medical and surgical skills, with the confidence to investigate and manage cases.
- A commitment to delivering excellent patient and client care.
- A collaborative approach and a genuine passion for teamwork.
- An enthusiasm for learning, developing new skills and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- The ability to work with clinical autonomy while knowing when to seek support.
- RCVS and VDS fees paid in full.
- Generous CPD allowance, BSAVA library access and more than 450 learning courses.
- Fully funded postgraduate qualifications, including CertAVP and PgCert, with tuition, exams and study leave covered.
