JR is looking for a Senior or a Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead our client’s dedicated and friendly team. This role is ideal for an experienced vet who is confident with routine surgical and medical cases and an interest in orthopaedics is a bonus, but not essential. Due to the high exotic’s caseload, strong experience in exotics would be highly advantageous and previous people management experience is beneficial but not essential.
As Head Vet, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of 5 vets, overseeing clinical standards and ensuring excellent patient care, building strong relationships with clients and the wider team and supporting the daily management and operations of the practice. You will be working alongside a welcoming team of 5 Vets, 5 Nurses, 2 Student Nurses and 2 Animal Care Assistants.
This modern, spacious practice is well-equipped with facilities including digital X-ray, an In-house laboratory, ultrasound and multi-parameter monitoring as well as offers free parking with the train station in easy walking distance.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours a week with a rota-based schedule and no out-of-hours work.
This role offers a salary up to £70,000 DOE with a range of benefits including
