A well-established and supportive veterinary practice is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and collaborative team.

The successful candidate will become part of a close-knit group consisting of 4 Vets, 4 Nurses, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, and 3 Receptionists. The team shares a variety of clinical interests, including soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. Emphasis is placed on creating a positive and inclusive work culture where team achievements and personal milestones are celebrated. Regular social events, birthday celebrations, and seasonal gatherings contribute to a strong sense of camaraderie and work-life balance.

The practice is housed in a modern, purpose-built facility designed to meet high industry standards. It is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical tools, including a digital X-ray machine, ultrasound, multiparameter monitor, electrosurgical unit, and Idexx laboratory machines. The environment is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and designed to support both patient care and staff wellbeing. Free parking is provided for both staff and clients.

Applicants should be qualified Veterinary Surgeons and hold registration with the RCVS. Ideally, candidates will have at least two years’ experience in small animal practice and be comfortable performing both consultations and routine surgeries. Experience with exotic species, while not essential, is advantageous. A full-time role is preferred, working 40 hours over four days per week, with a weekend rota of 1 in 3 (Saturdays 9am–6pm, Sundays 10am–4pm). However, part-time applications are also welcomed. There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday requirements.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to animal welfare, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. They should be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
