Lead Veterinary Surgeon – West London – Up to £75,000
Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for your next step into leadership? This is a fantastic opportunity to take the reins of a well-established small animal practice in West London and shape its future with ambition, care and clinical excellence.
About the role
As Lead Vet, you’ll oversee a dedicated five-person team, supported by RVNs, a student nurse, client care staff, and a practice manager. You’ll also have access to a nearby 24-hour hospital for complex cases and overnight care, giving you the reassurance of a wider network.
Whether your interests lie in surgery—with opportunities to expand surgical services—or in medicine, managing senior and geriatric cases, this role can be tailored to your strengths. With recent upgrades to the theatre and a full renovation underway, you’ll have an excellent environment to provide outstanding care while also growing the practice.
This is a full-time role (40 hours, 4 days per week) with a 1:6 weekend rota, offering flexibility for a strong work-life balance.
Benefits
Salary up to £75,000 plus quarterly bonus scheme
Private Medical Insurance & Health Cash Plan (from day one)
Life Assurance (3x salary)
5 weeks’ annual leave + Bank Holidays (rising with service)
Additional paid “Day for You” each year

VDS, RCVS and BVA fees paid
Sabbatical scheme after qualifying service
Relocation support and Visa sponsorship available
Cycle to Work scheme & Season Ticket Loan

About you

If you’re ready to lead, inspire and make a real impact in a supportive, close-knit practice, we’d love to hear from you.
