Global Veterinary Careers is working with a progressive veterinary hospital in the West Midlands to recruit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, high-performing team, gain exposure to a varied caseload, and further develop your clinical skills.
About the Location and Practice:
The hospital is a first-opinion, small-animal practice offering 24-hour care. The team is made up of 16 experienced vets, including seven certificate holders in cardiology, dermatology, medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, and surgery (soft tissue and orthopaedics), with a further six vets currently studying.
The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities, including:
- CT and digital X-ray
- Fully equipped dental suite (with training opportunities)
- 12 operating theatres
- Ultrasound, endoscopy, and in-house laboratory
With its varied caseload and strong insured client base, the practice provides excellent opportunities for continued professional development across surgery, medicine, and first-opinion work.
About the Role and Team:
- Hours: 40 hours per week, with a fair rota for full weekends (1:10) and Saturdays (1:5) with time back in lieu
- Primarily based at the main branch, with occasional cover at other local branches
- Supportive team environment, including experienced nurses and a dedicated night team for out-of-hours coverage
- Spacious break room with quality coffee for those well-earned pauses

- RCVS registered with extensive first-opinion experience
- Confident across all areas of first-opinion practice, including surgery and medicine
