Who They Are
GVC is supporting a progressive small animal first-opinion practice in West Sussex looking to add a Veterinary Surgeon. Clinical standards are a clear priority, with a supportive, collaborative team environment and the facilities needed to manage a varied caseload to a high level.
What You’ll Do
You’ll take ownership of a broad first-opinion caseload, delivering consistently high-quality care from consultation through to diagnostics, treatment planning and follow-up. The role is designed for a vet who values clinical autonomy while working closely with an experienced team to maintain excellent patient outcomes and client service.
There is genuine scope to develop and utilise advanced clinical skills, with exposure to areas including:
- Soft tissue surgery
- Laparoscopic/keyhole surgery
- Advanced dentistry
- Diagnostic imaging / advanced imaging
- Endoscopy
- Orthopaedics
- Internal medicine
- Ophthalmology
Working pattern & package
- 4-day working week
- Salary up to £80,000 DOE
- 1 in 4 weekends (mornings only) with time off in lieu
- Varied and engaging caseload, with flexibility to develop your clinical interests

- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Confident managing a varied first-opinion caseload across medicine and surgery
- Committed to high standards of patient care and client service
- Collaborative, proactive, and keen to keep developing clinically
