A forward-thinking, family-run small animal practice in West Yorkshire is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their close-knit team. This role offers genuine clinical freedom, an emphasis on work-life balance, and a tailored package designed to suit your professional aspirations.
Role & Schedule Details:
- Position: Veterinary Surgeon (Full-time or Part-time)
- Hours: Flexible options between 20 and 40 hours per week (rotas planned well in advance)
- Out of Hours: No OOH / No on-call duties
- Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 weekends
- Compensation: Up to £65,000 for recent certificate holders taking on additional responsibilities, with bespoke packages structured around your individual requirements (salary, holidays, CPD)
Practice Setup & Facilities:
- Team Structure: Led by 4 experienced partners (85+ years combined experience), alongside 4 Vets, 11 Nurses (8 RVNs and 3 SVNs), 2 VCAs, 4 Receptionists, and a full-time Practice Manager.
- In-House Capabilities: Advanced surgical and medical work-ups including BOAS surgery, orthopaedics, cardiology, and dermatology, supported by team members studying towards behavioural certificates.
- Equipment: Endoscopy, ultrasound, digital and dental radiography, and AI cytology.
- Workplace Culture: Scheduled lunch breaks, protected consultation catch-up breaks, and consultations finishing 45 minutes prior to closing to ensure on-time finishes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon.
- Passionate about case continuity, clinical skill development, and working collaboratively within a team.
