Veterinary Surgeon – Hospital-Based Role | West Yorkshire, UK
Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 weekends (days only)
Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working up complex medical cases? GVC are assisting a well-established veterinary hospital in West Yorkshire seeking a dedicated clinician to join their talented team.
The Opportunity
This hospital-based role offers the chance to manage a diverse and interesting caseload, with access to advanced diagnostic facilities and a supportive, experienced team. You’ll focus on in-depth case workups, non-routine consultations, and inpatient care, all while collaborating with colleagues who are passionate about clinical excellence.
At the end of each day, a dedicated night team takes over patient care, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough consultations, diagnostics, and medical workups.
- Manage and plan inpatient care for hospitalised patients.
- Collaborate closely with the wider veterinary and nursing teams.
- Contribute to a culture of clinical quality and teamwork.
About You
- MRCVS-qualified Veterinary Surgeon (or eligible).
- Experience within a hospital or multi-vet setting.
- Confident in ultrasound and case management.
- A proactive, team-oriented clinician with a passion for continuous development.
- Certificate holder or interest in pursuing one (supported).
