JR is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Primary Care Clinical Director to lead our client’s dedicated team within a leading hospital. This team provides 24-hour emergency services and routine primary care for small animals and also houses a multi-disciplinary referral team, allowing for close collaboration between primary care, referral, and emergency and critical care departments.
This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of care, fostering strong relationships within the team, and ensuring efficient care is provided to patients and clients.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Strong leadership skills as you will oversee a team of 13 FTE Vets, ensuring smooth operations and strong collaboration between the veterinary and nursing staff.
- Supervise the Intensive Care Unit, which supports 10 practices in the region, ensuring optimal patient care.
- Oversee the daily operations, including Rota management and the profit and loss for the Primary Care sector.
- Participate in the clinical Rota with designated admin time to balance responsibilities effectively.
- Work closely with the Hospital Director to align the primary care services with the hospital's overall objectives.
- Mentor and support staff development whilst fostering a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
