£35,000–£68,000 DOE | 4-Day Week | No Routine OOH

A friendly, independent, family-run small animal practice in Worcestershire is looking to welcome a Veterinary Surgeon to their supportive and experienced team. This is a genuinely encouraging environment where vets are given the time, backing and mentorship to develop confidence, progress clinically and pursue areas of interest.

Whether you’re an experienced Veterinary Surgeon or a newly qualified vet looking to flourish with the right support around you, this role offers flexibility, strong clinical standards and an excellent work–life balance.

The Practice

Independent, family-run small animal practice with a strong community presence

Large, experienced clinical team with a broad mix of skill sets and interests

Supportive, collaborative culture with hands-on mentoring available

Accredited dog-friendly, cat-friendly, rabbit-friendly and RCVS-accredited

Purpose-built premises with excellent facilities, including:

Separate dog and cat wards

Multiple consulting rooms

Digital and dental X-ray

High-quality ultrasound with Doppler

In-house laboratory

Endoscopy, laser therapy, cautery and advanced diagnostic equipment

The Role

Small animal Veterinary Surgeon position

Full-time or part-time considered

4-day working week with one early finish per week

1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00–12:30)

No routine out-of-hours (optional OOH involvement if desired)

Structured working day with dedicated consulting, operating and inpatient care time

Regular operating days with support available for more complex cases

The Ideal Candidate

Small animal Veterinary Surgeon (new graduates and experienced vets welcome)

Confident communicator with a compassionate, client-focused approach

Enjoys working as part of a close-knit, supportive team

Keen to maintain high clinical standards and continue developing skills

Salary £35,000–£68,000, dependent on experience

6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
