Senior Surgical Veterinary Surgeon in Yorkshire
The Practice & Caseload
- Purpose-built RCVS accredited hospital with on-site CT scanner
- Team of 18 vets including multiple certificate holders
- Varied and advanced surgical caseload with referral work
- Work alongside an experienced Surgical Director in a highly supportive setting
The Role
- Salary £60,000–£75,000 DOE (pro rata, depending on certification/Adv Practitioner status)
- Full or part-time, permanent
- Fixed day off each week
- No regular OOH
- 1:4 weekend rota
- Mix of routine and advanced surgery – including TPLO & patella luxation (mentorship available)
- One operating day per week at nearby branch practice
What They’re Looking For
- Experienced MRCVS with strong surgical focus
- PgC in surgery or working towards (orthopaedics ideal)
- Confident with sole operating and managing referrals within skill set
- Interest in mentoring juniors/VetGDP
Package
- 6.6 weeks holiday
- £1,750–£2,500 CPD + 5 days
- RCVS + 2 memberships paid, VDS
