Covetrus Donates £10,000 Worth Of Cat Food To Animal Sanctuary
Covetrus, a global leader in animal health technology and services, is proud to announce a significant donation of £10,000 worth of Calibra cat food, benefiting both adult cats and kittens, to Thornberry Animal Sanctuary in Sheffield. This donation was made possible through a collaborative effort with Greater Good Charities, reinforcing Covetrus’ commitment to supporting animal welfare.
Covetrus is the exclusive distributor of Calibra, a premium pet food brand established in 2001 by veterinarians and nutritionists. As part of its recent donation, 800 packs of Calibra LIFE cat food were delivered to the animal sanctuary. The LIFE range is designed to meet the specific nutritional needs of cats at every life stage, from kittens to adults, supporting growth, development, and sensitive digestion with high-quality ingredients, including fresh meat and mono-protein recipes.
Greater Good Charities, established in 2007, is a global non-profit organisation that renovates animal shelters, provides essential food and supplies, offers medical support, and facilitates training and transport for pets in need worldwide. The Covetrus donation will play a critical role in supporting these efforts, ensuring that the cats of Thornberry Animal Sanctuary receive the nourishment they require.
Natalie, Cattery Manager at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary stated ''We are very thankful to Covetrus, with the help of Greater Good Charities, for providing us with 800 packets of Calibra Kitten food. With the growing number of unwanted kittens and stray litters, our sanctuary is caring for more kittens than ever before. This support is vital to help us help them.''
Jack Dixon, Marketing Manager at Covetrus, added, “We are delighted to support the work of Thornberry Animal Sanctuary with this donation. It is very important to all of us at Covetrus that we have a positive impact on communities and provide support where it is needed.”
Boris Pomroy, Executive Vice President of Greater Good Charities commented, "Greater Good Charities is driven by a deep commitment to working alongside communities and responding to need. Our collaboration with Covetrus and the Thornberry Pet Sanctuary exemplifies these values. By working together, we're able to ensure vital support gets to animals in need."
