Pet-ID Gets Serious About Online Opportunities At VPMA/SPVS Congress

Following on from the success of an attention grabbing, giant Gromit on stand at the London Vet Show, Pet-ID Microchips is looking forward to getting a little more serious with practice managers and their colleagues at VPMA/SPVS congress, where the focus will be on discussing practical ways to build a better business. “The way practice managers work is changing and veterinary suppliers have to change with them,” says Pet-ID Managing Director, Jo Briault.

For Pet-ID, congress will be all about the company’s recent foray into online ordering on Vbay (www.vbay.co.uk). As well as a special introductory offer with every online order there will also be free delivery. Stocking up on an everyday staple at a bargain price is sure to appeal to those practice managers who have a close eye on the purse strings, particularly with the April deadline for compulsory microchipping looming large.

Jo says, “It’s difficult to do something bigger and more eye catching than a giant Gromit and at VPMA/SPVS congress it’s all about making the changes that make the difference in practice and that reflect how people are working in real-world clinics. So while there are still lots of laughs and a friendly welcome at the Pet-ID stand, we will also be having serious conversations about working with practice managers to help reduce their day-to-day workload and adapt to new technology.”

Caroline Johnson of Vbay confirms there are real changes in how practice managers function, “We know that increasingly practice managers are spending their time in front of a screen rather than on the telephone. A few clicks and the goods they need can be ordered and delivered – it’s all about convenience. Flexibility is also key: practices are increasingly adopting flexible working patterns and doing routine work outside the 9 to 5. Being able to offer online ordering 24-7 as Pet-ID can now do, is going to be a vital necessity for all veterinary suppliers.”
