The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) will be attending BSAVA 2022, where it will be promoting several of its latest projects including the Leadership Library, the 1CPD App and the MMI Kite app, as well as running the Mind Matters Initiative’s popular Campfire Chats.

RCVS staff will be on stand C102 at BSAVA Congress, which takes place from Thursday 24 to Saturday 26 March in Manchester. The team will be able to answer questions about the 1CPD app (which became mandatory to use to record and reflect on CPD at the start of the year), the new Leadership Library, and the free to use MMI Kite App which uses microlearning modules to help enhance the wellbeing of the veterinary professions. Literature giving an overview of the College’s current projects and activities will also be available to pick up on the stand.

The College’s Mind Matters Initiative will also have a prominent role in the Congress Wellbeing Zone, with in-person versions of its popular Campfire Chats taking place across the three days in Charter 3. These are:

Furthermore, between 11am and 11.30am in the wellbeing zone on each of the three days, the MMI team will be sharing the latest updates to the MMI Kite app and how to make best use of this free service.

The RCVS Fellowship is supporting the Bourgelat Stream with a talk from RCVS Fellow Robin Franklin, Professor of Stem Cell Medicine at the University of Cambridge’s Stem Cell Institute, entitled ‘Myelin Regeneration in the central nervous system - from mechanisms to medicines’. The talk takes place in Charter Room 2 between 11.50am and 12.40pm on Friday 25 March.

On the afternoon of the same day, between 4.50pm and 5.40pm in Charter Room 1, RCVS Director of Advancement of the Professions Angharad Belcher will be giving an update on the work of the RCVS Diversity & Inclusion Group and then taking part in a panel discussion on the subject.
