Must-know latest research, the future of evidence-based veterinary medicine and real-life examples of quality improvement will be explored at VET19 on Thursday, 27th and Friday, 28th June at the Kia Oval, London.The two-day conference, organised by RCVS Knowledge, will bring together voices from across the veterinary profession and allied industries, delivering world-class clinical lectures, networking opportunities and a celebration of inspiring teams and individuals. VET19 will be a great opportunity to keep up-to-date with the latest clinical developments, contribute to the future of veterinary care and gain an understanding of how quality improvement can enhance practice, said Chris Gush, Executive Director of RCVS Knowledge.We are very pleased to be holding the conference at the historic Oval cricket ground, where delegates will get a chance to see the latest offerings from our exhibition partners, develop their CPD and catch up with friends and colleagues.On day one of the conference, an awards ceremony and drinks reception will celebrate the winners of the Knowledge Awards for quality improvement, as well as students from across the country who have produced outstanding research in the Veterinary Evidence Student Awards.Tickets are on sale now, with one-day options and separate social event tickets available, alongside full conference passes. Limited early bird tickets are purchasable until 2nd May (or earlier if capacity is reached). Those wishing to speak or present a poster at the conference can submit an abstract themed around clinical research, quality improvement or the future and development of evidence-based veterinary medicine until 4th April. Among the confirmed speakers at VET19 is Trish Greenhalgh, Professor of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford. Awarded an OBE for Services to Medicine in 2001 and made a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences five years ago, Prof Greenhalgh is an internationally-renowned expert in the field and holds particular interests in the evaluation and improvement of clinical services, and the connections between research, policy and practice.
