**25% discount for booking before 31st March 2026** Are you tired of having to refer your cases for what are actually fairly simple surgical procedures? Under the instruction of experienced experts, during this practical and interactive one-day course equine practitioner will learn the indications, technique, after care and possible complication of a variety of commonly performed surgical procedures that can be easily performed in the standing sedated horse.

With three hours of lectures and four hours of practical tuition you will learn about nine different procedures then practice on cadaver specimens. Develop your surgical skills beyond wound repair and castration to further your career in equine practice and maintain control of your cases.

Topics to be covered:

The indications, technique, after care and possible complication of:

Third eyelid removal
Enucleation
Suturing a simple eyelid laceration
Wiring a simple incisor fracture
Sinus trephine and endoscopy
Nasofrontal sinus flap
Removal of a fractured distal splint bone
Deep digital flexor tenotomy
Medial patella desmotomy (theory only not practical)

Who is it for?

This course is for equine or mixed practitioners with an interest in surgical disease in the horse. You should already be confident repairing wounds and performing castrations so that you are now looking to further develop your surgical skills.
