The Speakers

Camilla Edwards DVM, CertAVP, MRCVS - Founder of FOVU - First Opinion Veterinary Ultrasound and passionate about small animal veterinary ultrasound at the first opinion level. As a peripatetic veterinary ultrasonographer, I travel with my dog Pippi (a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever) within 50 miles of Cambridge, teach ultrasound as a guest on IMV-imaging courses, and have a thriving Facebook community for First Opinion Small Animal Vets.In my early days as a vet, I struggled with a lack of awareness of ultrasound machines, unsure of what probe to use and confused by poor images. Then after falling in love with ultrasound and enrolling on numerous ultrasound courses aimed at general practitioners, I sat down and thought about what I needed when learning to scan.Intensive support over a period of timeGood demonstrations of how to scan specific organsDemonstrations of important pathology to look out for: a clear idea of what normal looks like!Affordable.Considering all of this, I decided to use my years of experience as a working peripatetic veterinary ultrasonographer to create online courses for vets and veterinary nurses......because everyone in our profession deserves to use ultrasound confidently to improve diagnosis for our patients.
