Whether it is the first time that patient has shown signs of cardiovascular disease or they are in the terminal stages of a chronic heart problem, we need to know how to nurse them all! This lecture will cover triage, emergency stabilisation, pathophysiology, physical examination, treatment and monitoring of the of the congestive heart failure patient.

Speaker: James McMurrough BVSc CertAVP(SAM) CertAVP(VC) MRCVS RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine and Veterinary CardiologyJames graduated from the University of Bristol in 2008 and began work in a busy first opinion, emergency and referral practice in Manchester. He is an advanced practitioner in internal medicine having gained his CertAVP(SAM) in 2012. He also a keen cardiologist having recently gained his second advanced practitioner certificate in veterinary cardiology.James lectures across the country on a variety of subjects to members of the veterinary profession, and has a particular clinical interest in cardio-respiratory diseases, flexible endoscopy and canine lymphoma treatment.
