About this course
Get more out of your neuro-exam by simplifying your approach.

Every neurologist does the neuro-exam slightly different. We will discuss the basic components of the neuro-exam and how to interpret the results in clinical practice. We will further discuss how these results of the neuro-exam can be used to determine the neuro-anatomic localisation and if the neuro-exam can be used to determine prognosis.

Why do this course?
The large number of tests and reflexes can be tested, can make the neuro-exam a daunting task. We will discuss how to break down the neuro-exam in its basic components to make it more accessible for the general practitioner.

This webinar is part of a series called: Neurology for the clinical practitioner

This series of webinars is aimed at those who feel uncomfortable and overwhelmed by neurology patients. We will discuss the basic principles and how to get started with neurology in practice.

Other webinars in this series are:

What is the nervous system and what happens if it doesn’t work?

How to recognise the most likely diagnosis – clinical reasoning in neurology

Further diagnostics in general practice: Spinal radiographs, myelography and cerebrospinal fluid analysis
