About this course
What is the absolute minimum of neuroanatomy you should know?

Neurology is sometimes considered the clinical application of neuroanatomy. There is however no limit on how complex and detailed neuroanatomy can be presented. It is possible that the historical link between neuroanatomy and clinical neurology contributes to the phenomenon of ‘neurophobia’. This webinar will discuss the basic principles of neuroanatomy you should know to increase your confidence in practice. We will focus on the function and dysfunction of the basic components of the nervous system.

Why do this course?
We will learn that neurology should not necessarily be complex and difficult. By understanding the basics, you will be able to become a more comfortable clinical practitioner.

This webinar is part of a series called: Neurology for the clinical practitioner

This series of webinars is aimed at those who feel uncomfortable and overwhelmed by neurology patients. We will discuss the basic principles and how to get started with neurology in practice.

Other webinars in this series are:

How to perform a neuro exam in practice?

How to recognise the most likely diagnosis – clinical reasoning in neurology

Further diagnostics in general practice: Spinal radiographs, myelography and cerebrospinal fluid analysis

A convenient and flexible way to earn some CPD hours without leaving home is to select webinars to view from our extensive library of recorded webinars. They are great value for busy practitioners seeking quality CPD at a time of their choice. Participants will receive a handout (slides and/or notes) to support their viewing session and a CPD certificate.
Participants gain access to the webinar for two weeks which allows them to view it at their leisure and convenience as well as review aspects as needed to enhance their learning.
Members of the BVA Young Vets Network receive a 50% discount on our recorded webinars (subject to availability – ten discounted places available per webinar per year).
