Technical Sales Manager
Are you a vibrant and tenacious Sales manager who loves the thrill of bringing on new business? We have a fantastic role for someone to join a well established team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with veterinary sales experience to embark on a rewarding career as Sales Manager covering the South East England region. The role pays £41-46k, a company Car, Private medical and pension.
The purpose of this field-based position is as Sales Specialist who actively drives new sales in an assigned region and provides sales support as a specialist in diagnostics. The role requires the application of exceptional commercial thinking, and solution sales skills to new and competitor diagnostics veterinary practices, laboratory research, and veterinary academic settings and is responsible for the overall business health and customer satisfaction of their assigned territories.
Role expectations will be to plan, forecast and drive new sales of veterinary diagnostics products. You will own the sales process from prospecting and lead generation to managing the pipeline and pre-installation checks. This includes:
- Detailed documentation of all customer and prospect interactions via the CRM
- Validating and qualifying the identification of new equipment sales and consumable opportunities.
- Transporting equipment to customer and prospective customer locations.
- Lift, set-up and demonstrate diagnostic solutions, equipment and features.
- Explaining the uses and benefits of diagnostic products and services; answering questions; effectively communicating “value proposition”
Skills Required include:
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey medical and technical information
- Demonstrated skills selling capital equipment in physician and/or veterinary clinics.
- Skilled at making presentations (including financial presentations) at all levels. Ability to transport, set-up and demonstrate equipment quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Builds successful and effective internal and external relationships
- Exemplifies early adopter behaviours for rapid learning ability.
- Ability to work independently

Training or experience:
- A proven sales track record with at least five years of experience working as a sales professional.
- Experience selling laboratory products or capital equipment will be highly regarded
- Proven sales achievements and successes
